SAFES BLOWN OPEN
IX COLLEGE AND CATHEDRAL HAUL OF £lBO BY BURGLARS (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The AVellington Girls’ College in Pipitea Street, and St. Paul’s ProCathedral in Alulgrave Street, were entered by burglars on Alonday night, the safes being blown open. From the college safe about £lBO was taken. The money was tor the payment of accounts to-day. The procathedral safe door jammed, foiling the burglars. The latter safe contained little money, the banking being done on Monday morning.
