GOLI- REPRESEN TATI VES KIRK-WINDEYER CUP Invitations to seven leading golfers to offer themselves for selection for the Kirk-Windeyer Cup team have been issued by the New Zealand Gold Association. The players who are being approached are: — H. A. Black (Miramar). J. L. Black (Hamilton). H. D. Brinsden (Titirangi). J T. Hornibrook (Masterton). T. H. Horton (Masterton). B. M. Silk (Wanganui). Rana Wagg (Hutt). If all these players are available five will be picked and from this number the team of four will finally be selected. At a meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Golf Association yesterday it was stated that it was probable that a strong Australian team would arrive in Auckland at Easter. AUSTRALIAN QUARTETTE SYDNEY, March 6. Hector Morrison, writing in the “Telegraph,” says: “It now seems certain that New South Wales will be represented by a strong four in the Kirk-Windeyer Cup contest and the Australian and New South Wales champion, Dr. Bettington will definitely make the trip. T. McKay and W. Hattersley are also likely to go.” “
