WOMAN’S TRAGIC END
ALL-NIGHT SEARCH MADE CAUGHT BETWEEN ROCKS An all-night search which was made for Mrs. W. H. Graham, of Esplanade Road, Mount Eden, ended on Tuesday when her body was found wedged between two rocks on the foreshore between Campbell’s Bay and Castor Bay. Mrs. Graham had spent the previous afternoon at Campbell’s Bay putting a small summer cottage in order. After having a cup of tea at the house of a neighbour, Mr. J. Richards, she left about 5 p.m. to catch a bus and return home. Apparently she missed the bus from Campbell’s Bay and decided to walk along the foreshore towards CastorBay. Alarm was felt on Monday when Mrs. Graham did not return home, and Mr. Graham, who is the boarding inspector for H.M. Customs at Auckland, organised a search . On the search being resumed the body was found by Mr. Richards. It is believed that Mrs. Graham fell between the rocks, and, being injured, was drowned by the incoming tide.
