PLAYERS IN BRAWLS AT ICE HOCKEY MATCH LONDON, January 16. There was a remarkable scene at, a Strcatham ice skating rink, where an ice hockey match was played between two teams, composed mainly of American and Canadian University students. The match resulted in a draw, both teams scoring one goal each. Before the game the teams were received by Sir Dudley de Chair, former Governor of New South Wales, and Lady do Chair.

A fight developed when an opponent struck tho American goalkeeper, near tho goal post. Both teams participated in the scuffle, and an American player was sent off.

Canada’s goal equalising tho score, was scored in tho last minute of play. The Americans disputed it and several players resumed fighting. Tho play became very rough and tho referee penalised seven Americans, each leaving tho ice in turn. Canada wanted extra time for play, but the Americans refused the request. Tho crowd was in an unroar throughout.
