CONDITION OF VICTIMS OF ACCIDENT AT OHAU (Per Press Association) LEVIN, This Day. The condition of the victims of the Levin crossing smash at Ohau yeste"day, showed an improvement this morning, both being out of danger. Airs. Wallace D’Ath has recovered from shock. Her mother, Airs. O’Rourke, was most seriously injured, an ankle being broken. The four children, three D’Aths and one daughter of Mrs. Walker, of Plimmerton, are suffering from cuts and bruises. All had a miraculous escape from death. Airs. D’Ath, who was driving, saw the train when approaching the crossing at Ohau and applied the brakes, but these failed to act. The train struck the car and the heavy impact crushed in one side, capsizing it. STRIKES NAPIER EXPRESS

(Per Press Association) AVELLINGTON. Last Night. A sedan car collided with th? Napier express and overturned at the Ohau crossing this afternoon, imprisoning the occupants, two women and two children. The driver of the ear was Airs AVallacc D'Ath, the others in the party being her two children and Airs O’Rourke, who it is understood, is a relative of Airs D’Ath. Al is O'Rourke had her left ankle fractured and the others received cuts and abrasions, ami are also suffering from shock. The ear was travelling toward Levin, and was on the crossing just south of the Qhau station when it was struck by the downward Napier express and extensively damaged. The accident occurred at 2.13 p.m. The driver of the train immediately stopped and the passengers descended and after righting the overturned motor ear, picked up the occupants. After a delay of about 10 minutes the motorists were put aboard the train and taken to Otoki, after which they were conveyed to a private hospital. The “Trocadero” (Napier) is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., including Sundays. It provides the best of good things to eat; it fills a want (being dpen on Sundays and holidays) and serves three hot meals every day. Th service stands high, and the price is low. The best meal in the Dominion at Is 6d. #
