A Phenomenal Spectacle.

An exceptionally bright glow was observable in the western section of the skyline for a considerable length of time from before 5 o’clock onward last evening, being the result of the setting sun’s rays being reflected upon the snow coated Ruahine Range. The phenomenon was of such a vivid order that travellers in the Onga Onga, Hatuma, and Takapau districts were provided with additional light, the spectacle as viewed from the Pukeora Ihill being especially attractive.
