WAII’UKURAU LEAGUE

THE MONTHLY MEETING

At the monthly meeting of the Home and School League, Mr. D. R. Mills presided over the following members: — Mesdames Robinson, Mills, McLean and Urquhart (secretary); Messrs. A. C. Rowe, J. Rapley, H. Rowlands and W. W. Jamieson.

The secretary reported that a successful social had been held recently, and it was decided to hold further functions on June 17 or July 15. Mr. Jamieson reported that the typewriters in use at the High School were in need of repair. On the motion of Mr. Mills, seconded by Mr. Rowlands, a grant of 30/- was made to the School Committee for the maintenance of the typewriters. It was decided, on the motion of Mrs. Robinson, seconded by Mrs. Mills, that the school ball should be held on August 18. It was decided to procure an extension light for the supper room at the school and a curtain for the new classroom.
