Riot Damage Petition
A petition to Parliament, seeking compensation for losses due to the breaking of plate-glass windows and the damage and looting of stock in the recent riots in Auckland is being or-
ganised by tho City Central Progress League. Support for the petition is being sought from occupiers of busi-
ness premises and property owners who were victims of the attacks, and endeavours are being made to have the petition forwarded to Wellington for presentation to Parliament before it is prorogued this week.
