N.Z. FARMERS’ UNION WOMEN’S DIVISION FORMED (From Our Own Correspondent). A meeting of all those interested in the formation of a branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the Town Hall on Wednesday afternoon being presided over by Mrs J. B. A’Dcanc. The Division President, Mrs C. C. Jackson, was present and gave a very interesting address on the work of the division in the backblocks, and in other directions. She also gave a practical demonstration of the many purposes of laminated wool and emphasised the fact that their own market could be helped by its use. It was decided to form a branch of the Division at Takapau, and the following officers wore elected: President, Mrs W. Hobson: vice-presidents, Mrs J. B. A’Deane and Airs G. Livingston hon. secretary and treasurer, Mrs A .E. Bayles; committee, Mcsdamcs E. Poulton, W. B. AVhitc, N. M. Paulsen, G. Stubbs, hl. O’Callagan, W, J. Craig, F. A. Thompson, R, Nelson and Miss Gooch. Takapau Ladies’ Golf. The following is the result of the bogey match played by the Takapau Ladies’ Golf Club yesterday afternoon. Mrs W. Davies, 6 down. Miss Smith, 6 down. Mrs Sanders, 7 down. Mrs Callender, 7 down. Mrs Hodges, S down. Mrs Smith. 9 down. Miss A. Ellis, 10 down. Miss K. White, 10 down. Miss P. Ellis, 10 down, hliss Black. 10 down.
