SESSION’S LEGISLATION

TWELVE BILLS PASSED AIAIN FEATURE OF AIEASURES (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, Last Night. Twelve bills were passed during theemergency session of Parliament justended, which lasted eleven weeks. They are: The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment, Afortgagors and Tenants Relief, Unemployed Amendment, Public Safety Conservation, Local Elections and Polls Amendment, Trade Agreement (New Zealand and Canada) Ratification, Land and Income Tax (annual), Land Laws Amendment, Ntional Expenditure Adjustment, Thames Borough Commissioner and Finance Act. Tho outstanding features of the legislation are: Tho reduction of and salaries of public, servants, the reduction of interest rates and rent, special measures for the conservation of public safety, the extension of the life of Parliament, the imposition of the 1/- in the pound wages tax, and the compulsory conciliation in industrial disputes.
