PLOUGHING MATCH CLUB

THE ANNUAL MEETING From Our Own Correspondent) The annual meeting of the Takapau Ploughing Match. Club was held on Monday night, presided over by the president, Air F. do Stacpoole. Motions of condolence were passed to tho rolirtives of the late Airs S. Johnston, and the wife and family of the late Air H. A. Speedy. The report and balance sheet was read, the position disclosed being considered satisfactory, showing a slight profit on last year’s working; with £5O on fixed deposit.

Owing to the sparsely attended meeting it was decided to hold the next meeting on Alonday, May 23, to see wha support would be offering to hold the usual annual ploughing match. Soldiers’ Memorial

The hedge and ground around the soldiers’ Memorial are receiving attention. looking much the better already for general improvement work in progress. '
