annual School ball A most successful fancy dress ball was held in the Hall last evening. Commencing at 6 p.m. the children held the floor until after their grand inarchat 9 p.m. The hall was most tastefully decorated and much credit is due to the staff and elder pupils for the amount of time and careful arrangement of the decorations. Many beautiful and novel costumes were to be seen and the children really presented a beautiful and colourful spectacle as they moved round in their folk dances and other simple ball room dances, showing the great patience which must have been exercised by the staff to reach such a high standard of efficiency. The children were entertained to supper in the Alasonic Hall and again everything had been done to leave nothing to be desired and the little folk were treated to the best of everything dear to the young heart. Mrs. Hardy and her willing helpers are to be congratulated on the arrangements; everything going off like clock work. Dancing by the older people was carried on until a late hour and all voted the occasion a most enjoyable and sociable affair.
