“Flight” Saturday and Tuesday next. . Planes zooming, darting and sweeping through the clouds —thrilling battle formations, tailspins, loop-the-loops, death-defying parachute leaps and hazardous landings—breath-taking moments never before pictured on the screen are shown in “Flight,” the first all-talking epic of the air, will be presented at the Waipukurau Theatre on Saturday and Tuesday next. The staccato of rapid fire machine guns and the roar of airplanes caused by the Columbia company on location in San Diego during the production of the all-talking aviation film, “Flight,” gave the San Diegans a good scare until they found out what it was about. The sounds, indicative of battle in progress, led them to believe that war had again broken out across the border in Mexico. Upon investigation it was discovered that the bloody battle was being ■fought for “Flight, and that the mangled, bleeding mass of humanity which carried on the battle was a group of actors, none of whom were actually being shot despite the fact that blood was streaming down their faces. So complete in every detail was the skirmish that the marine officers, who had come down from the army base to watch the battle, were startled by the remarkable accuracy of the manoeuvres. There will be a special matinee at 2.30 on Saturday.
