A LABOURER IN TROUBLE
Detains Postal Packet . AND COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. THEFT CHARGE DISMISSED. (Per Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At the Police Court to-day Alexander Hazlett, a labourer of Methven was committed for sentence on a charge of detaining a postal packet addressed to a man of the same name at Christchurch. Accused was also charged with the theft of £3 from the letter, but this was dismissed.
