SECOND TEST TO ENGLAND FIGHTING AND ROUGH PLAY Per Press Association). DUNEDIN, Last Night. The second League Test, England v. New Zealand was played yesterday in perfect ■weather before a crowd of 10,000. The exhibition was not up to the expectations of the crowd though England were very clever and won by 13 points to 5. The game was not impressive, being fast in patches, but at other times almost stopped dead, especially in the early stages. The final score was: England 13, New Zealand 5. In the second spell fighting and rough play were more noticeable than in the first spell. The game is a. joke in Dunedin. Everyone is asking everyone else “Did you sec the tight?” Even League supporters in Dunedin are disgusted. Oe Englishman, Burgess, was ordered off in the middle of the spell, following something that happened in the scrum; but he showed signs of in jury. But three or four on each side should have suffered the same penalty. Fighting and rough play marred what
might have been a clever and speedy exhibition.
