The Canterbury Jockey Club’s Grand National meeting was continued to-day. The weather was showery, with a bitterly colld southerly wind, and the course was heavy as. a result of long continued rain. The: conditions were so unpromising that the stewards met to consider whether the races should go on but decision, was to race.
