MATCH AT PUKEORA. ’ -' The Waipukurau Bowling Club was represented by two rinks in a very enjoyable match against the Pukeroa Sanatorium, played on Saturday, delightful weather conditions prevailing. Scores:— Waipukurau (Chatwin, Williams, 'Hughes, Moore (s), 24; >- Pukeroa (Stanleq, Mac Kay, Shepherd, Potaka (s), 13. Waipukurau (Milne, Jones, Thor-' burn, Saunders (s), 23; Pukeora (Taylor, Donovan, Withington, Mackay (s), 19. . Afternoon tea of a very appetising order, and dispensed on a liberal scale, was provided by the ladies of Pukeora, and Mr G. L. Chatwin, secretary of the Waipukurau- Bowling Club, voiced sentiments of appreciation, not only as to this hospitality, but that of the gentlemen, hosts in distributing cigarettes. Mr Mac Kay, responded, and said that the contest has been especially enjoyable. • . The invitation to ,visit the W.aipukurau green on Wednesday,, extended by Mr Chatwin, was accepted.
