DOCTOR AND MOTHER.
DIE TOGETHER. SYDNEY, Dec. 12. A mysterious double tragedy occurred at Dulwich Hill. Dr. J. A. Pauling, aged 30, and his mother, were found dead, by a niece, in the mother’s bedroom, with syringes and morphia tubes on the table. Though the doctor had a good practice, he had been invalided for years. LATEST DETAILS.: (Received this day, .11.23” a.m.) SYDNEY, To-day. In Mrs Paling’s arm were found two broken needles, showing that acid had been injected, and, supposedly. Dr. Paling took some of the same poison. Mrs Paling was an invalid, and the doctor was suffering from depression. He had had a distinguished university career.
