WAIPUKURAU SALE. NO SHEEP—FEW CATTLE. \ The Waipukurau sale yesterday was unusual in that no sheep whatever were yarded, and there was only a very small entry of store cattle, principally daiyy sorts. Apparently the farmers of the district have ample feed-for sheep at any rate, and can see no advantage in accepting ruling rates for stores. Cattle, Stores: Shorthorn cow with health at foot fetched £3; empty Jer-'sey-Tlereford cross cow, fresh store, £ll .17/6; empty Jersey cow, fresh store, £2 15/-; empty Holstein cross cow, forward condition, £3’ 7/6; empty Jersey, small forward condition, £2 17/-; 3 forward. empty station cows £3 4/-; 6 young Holstein cows and heifers empty £2 12/6: 3 empty store cows £1 19/-; 3 ditto £2; 5 weaner and yearling heifers 17/6; 3 empty heifers £2 3/-; 6 empty 15-months dairy heifers, fair quality. £2 15/-; 2 empty Jersey cross 15 months heifers, £2 10/-; 1. Jersey cow, in profit, 3 weeks, £2 11/-; 2 good 15-mcmths Jersey heifers (due August) £4. Steers: Throe dairy-bred steers, small £1 10/-; 5 steers, yearling to 2 years, passed at £2 15/-.
