Waipawa B met Porangahau and won by 11 matches to 5. Following are the results, Waipawa players being named first: — LADIES’ SINGLES. Miss Davy beat Mrs Edgecombe, I)—7. Miss Wallace beat Miss Sargisson, 9—3. Miss Aplin lost to Miss Amy Hokianga, B—9.8 —9. Mrs Robertson beat Miss Rawa Hokianga, 9 —4. MEN’S SINGLES. Parker lost to the Rev. Brierley-, o—9. McLeod beat Douglas. 9 —o. Walker beat Thompson. 9—5. Apatu lost to S. Board, o—9.0 —9. COMBINED DOUBLES. Miss Davy and Parker lost to Mrs Edgecombe and Brierley, 7 —9. Miss Wallace and McLeed beat Miss A. Hokianga and Douglas, 9 —B. Miss Aplin and Walker heat, Miss Sargisson and Thompson. 9—-3. Mrs Robertson and Apatu beat Miss R. Hokianga and Board, 9 —5. On Saturday at Dannevirke the first match of the “C” grade Neal and Close competition was played, when a team from the Dannevirke Chib played Hinemoa on the latter’s courts. After some very close matches. Dannevirke proved the winners by the narrow margin. of nine matches anld .121 games to seven matches and 109 games.
