RACING RESULTS

WAIPUKURAU JOCKEY CLUB. AUTUMN MEETING.. The Autumn Meeting of the Waipukurau Jockey Club was held yesterday. The weather was all that could be desired, and as a consequence the attendance was very good. The totalisator investments totalled £22,554, as against £25,859 invested last year on Easter Monday, a decrease of £3305. The racing throughout was most interesting, and no accident marred the day’s racing. The Cup was won by Gaze somewhat easily, in very good time. Sir George Hunter presented the Cup to Mr W. J. Craig (Takapau), the latter suitably acknowledging it amidst cheers. All arrangements were well in hand, as is usual with the Club’s indefatigable secretary, Mr W. G. Nightingale. ■ The Waipukurau Town Band rendered appropriate selections during the day. The fields were well despatched by Mr J. D. Donovan, whilst the judge’s (Mr R. H. Aidnorth) decisions were promptly and correctly hoisted. All round, the Waipukurau Jockey Club is to be congratulated on the splendid programme provided and on the excellent organisation displayed throughout the day. Mr H. R.
