Mrs J. K. Lee, who is engaged on an electrical demonstration tour, is at present in the South Island. Mr B. J. Mcßeth, the newly-appointed Borough Overseer, arrived from Auckland on Wednesday afternoon, and has commenced his duties. Mr W. Crawford, of Auckland, has arrived in Waipukurau, and to-night will deliver a public lecture in the Oddfellows’ Hall, under the auspices of " the Theosophical Society. "The Knowledge of God’s Plan” -will be the sub- , ject of what promises to be an idealistic and interesting address. Admission is free.
