LOSS OP LIFE AND DAMAGE. NEW YORK, October 25. Devastating wind storms struck the Atlantic coast States, resulting in the death of at least 21 persons, and heavy damage to homes and shipping. In Alabama a tornado sweeping in from the Texas coast, killed 16 and injured more than a score, and levelled dozens of houses. In Woburn, Massachusetts, 500 houses were damaged. In Baltimore, 17 navy seaplanes, assembled for manoeuvres in connection with the Schneider • Cup races, broke from their moorings. Seven of then) were completely wrecked and othero badly damaged.
