It is autheratatively reported that tuc Premier has declined to make any recommendation to His Majesty’s Government in respect to the inclusion of South African names in the New Year honours’ list. The view is that titles other than! academic distinctions or lecorations of civil servants in recognition of out standing service to the State are in conflict with the spirit of the people of South Africa and the principles df the: Party at present in power.
