A BIG SALE.
AfT PORANGAHAU. BIG PRICES FOR PRODUCE. The Waipukurau Auctioneering Company, report having held a most successful sale of new furniture, hearth rugs, carpet squares, books, shoes, fruit, vegetables and produce, at Porangahau, when every line offered were sold under the hammer to a huge crowd. Prices arc as follows: — Morris chairs £4 each; oak dining chairs 30s; rimu dining chairs 255; seagrass chairs 36s to £2 10s each; hearth rugs 27s 6d to 35s each; sofa rugs £2 7s 6d to £3 10s each; barilla soap Is 3r bar; household Is bar; sand shoes 3s io 6s 6d; suede shoes 14s to 15s; black gents shoes 24s to 255; tennis racquets 12s; yard brooms 4s. We also sold on account of Mr R. S. Herberts, who has sold out his business, the whole of his household furniture and effects, among his goods we sold a La Gloria, gramophone for £5O, oak bed £6, white double blankts 36s each, crockery and cutlery at very satisfactory prices.
