WAIPUKURAU (STOCK .SALE, The Hawke’s Bay Stock Auctioneers’ Association report on their weekly sale at the Waipukurau yards as follows: —Beef was penned in larger quantities than usual. Ibices realised for fat cows £6 to £9, fat heifers to £7 ss, fat bullocks to £l2, yearling steers £2 17s to £-1 Bs, yearling heifers £1 17s 6d to £2 3s, 2_yr steers £5 to £6 Bs, 3-yr cm. pty heifers £5 2s, cows and calves £5 14s, fat owes 33s (id, ,2th wethers 29s to 32s 4d, woolly ewes and lambs 44s 6d, shorn do 35s 9d.
SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, Tuesday. At the wool sales there was keen competition for all lines excepting super Merinos, prices for which were 7| per cent lower. Good to average MOrinos ami crossbreds realised ti.M late rates. Greasy Merino made to 52 ; }d and bellies 34d, both records for Sydney.
