RUGBY FOOTBALL.
THE GAME TO-DAY. This morning the local sub.union reps left Waipukurau by car for Hastings, where they will meet the subunion there for the Lane Shield. The team representing Hastings is almost the same as that which defeated East Coast by 50—0, and the one to uphold the county however, is an improvement on that which beat the “Coasters here, so a good ‘go can be anticipated. In thehometeam,Munro was un. able to get away and his place will be taken by Dillon. Otherwise the team is at full strength fit and well.
