BINOCULARS.

The Defence Department has ap pealed to the public for gifts of binoculars. Present day warfare is waged at such distances that Held glasses are needed by every leader of a party of men, no matter how small, and the Department has not nearly enough .of them. If any of our readers have glasses they can give, they should post them to The Defence Storekeeper, Wellington,” and if they are marked ‘‘ Binoculars for the Forces,” they will go free.
