BAZAAR.

The Bazaar in aid of Holy Trinity Church Ladies’ Guild was concluded on Wednesday evening, and the result must have been very gratifying to all concerned. Owing to counter attractions, there was not a very large crowd present but notwithstanding that fact there was very little left for the Dutch Auction Sale at the end of the evening, The exact weight of the cake was 86Ibs, and was guessed by four people, whose names were put in a bat the winner being Mrs Ernest Grinlinton with Miss Sybil Giles second.

The hair-dressing competition was won by Mr V. Grinlinton, and Mr Len Nicholas second.

In the New Town Hall, a lengthy programme, consisting of nursery rhymes and living comic pictures, were submitted to crowded houses. The “ Babes in the Wood" crying for ‘Glaxo’ caused much amusement.

Messrs jEccles (2), Nicholas (2), Grinlinton, Sturman, Tomlin, Grieves, etc., worked hard to keep things going and make the Bazaar the success it was.
