Mr H. Burnett, Mayor, left to-day on a business visit to Nelson. Mr and Mrs Stanhope, of Kumeroa, returned from a trip to Now Plymouth last night. Mr John Harris, County Chairman, leaves on Tuesday on a trip to the Auckland district. During his absence Cr Nelson will act as Chairman. Mr J. H. Monteith is a visitor to Woodville. Mr E. Hall, of Hastings,who has been in indifferent health for some time, is staying with his sister, Mrs W. Nicholson. Mr N. Mcßobie, of the Pahiatna Herald, has been appointed General Manager of the Now Zealand Times, and takes up bis duties immediately. Mr Crawford is going to Wellington next week to meet his daughter, who is coming out from England on a visit to her ivlations here. The Rev. Mr Ronaldson is a visitor to Woodville, and will probably assist at the services at Holy Trinity Church on Sunday.
