School Concert at Mangatainoka.

The school concert given by the children at Mangatninoka on Friday night was a success, ai.il the programme, which was a lengthy oi;e, was gone through without a hitch. Among the best items was a debate on " Are oar girls over educated '? ; ' in which fifteen boys spoke upon it, arid expessed their opinions in a manner that would do credit to some of our best speakers. Other good items were an exhibition of club swinging, skirt dance by eight girh, Mrs Ja,rley ? s wax woiks, aud fan drill by girls. The singing in the choruses aud glees showed careful training on the part of the school teachers, who have reason to be proud of the way the children were applauded. After the concert the hall was cleared for dancing, which was kept going till an early hour. The receipts amounted to something over £'l2.
