The Examiner. FRIDAY, MARCH 13.

With reference to our complaint about the discourtesy shown to the Mayor and Borough Councillors of Woodville by the Pahiatua Reception Committee in not inviting them _ to be present at the bridge opening ceremonies fand banquet the other day, Or Murphy writes “ Allow me to state that 1 had nothing whatever to do with the arrangements. It is only when the money is required to build bridges and make roads that lam consulted. In fact, I don’t think the Council as a whole were treated with much courtesy through the whole business. As regards the treatment meted out to tho Mayor and Councillors of \V ood—ville, in my opinion it was ‘ bad form and worst taste.’ Still I don t think Councillor Bolton or myself are to blame.”
