The Census.
The whole of the preparations for taking oi the census are now complete, and the sub-enumerators in some of the districts will commence distributing the household schedules at the latter end of this month. The census will be taken as for the night of the 12th April, immediately after which the papers will be collected. The Registrar-General expects to be able to give preliminary infonnatmn regarding some of the distiicts early in May, and to make up an approximate census for the Colony shortly afterwards.
