[to secretaries.j During the sh oting season I shall bo glad if the secretaries of the various clubs or corps who have anything of importance they would like made public, such us good scores, or good targets at any particular range, to send the same to me with a diagram of the target, addressed “ Disc,” Examiner Office, Woodviile, and I will arrange to have hem published. CAPTAIN BURNETT’S PRIZE. Fifteen members of the Woodville Rifle Club competed for Captain Burnett’s prize on Wednesday afternoon. The weather was simply beastly, and no good scores were made. There were several heavy showers during the progress of the match, and the wind was variable—at the 700yds range sometimes there was a difft rcnce of four foot between the shots. At the conclusion everybody was pleased to see that Mr Golhard headed the list with 53 points, which included 8 points handicap ; Mr Hewitt was second with 48 (10 points handicap). Mr Grant being third with 47. Messrs Hewitt and Grant secure ammunition prizes. Following are the scores : 300 700 yds yds he Ttl.
