SOME PEOPLE HAVE VERY FUNNY IDEAS As to what should constitute the Latest, Best and most Durable SEWING MACHINE SOME Machines are very late, the original makers discard a system which involves cog wheels and other old-fashioucd notions and which soon proves very noisy and hard to work. Somebody comes along, tabes the old idea, makes the arm a little higher and alters the ornamentation, and then tells the unsuspectingpublicthat it is the latest, best and most durable, although there is no bearing on that can be adjusted and lost wear taken up (the feed only can be raised). As to button hole attachment, I have had machines with these attachments for years, and they work in same way as other makes. Price ot machine complete, £6 6s for Family Size. Now for really new machines: The Improved White has a high-arm, it has a button-hole and every other attachment, it will do every class of work, every bearing is adj ustable, the finish is superb and the prices reasonable. The very newest is, I believe, the Rotary Shuttle Standard: it is a marvel of easy and quiet running, the bobbin holds 100 yards of cotton, and it makes 100 stitches while the machines are doing 65. The American No. 7 is A 1 for country use, it has no cogs or strings to take up or feed, and has fewer parts than any other machine. I cannot mention all but solicit correspondence. I guarantee every work for five years, also that they give satisfaction, and will exchange any that fail to please. I always keep a large stock of Needle and Duplicate parts, and I deliver Machines freight paid ts Palmerston station at Wellington prices, F. J. W.
