Maiden Handicap Hurdles. —Of 15 sovs,; H- miles, over 0 flights of hurdles 3ft. 6m. high. Nomination, 7s Gd; acceptance, 7s 6d. To start at 11.40 a.m. 2. Handicap Hurdles.— Of 30 sovs., second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes; 2 miles, over 8 flights of hurdles Bft. Gin. high. Nomination, 15s; acceptance, 15s. The winner of any hurdle race after the declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 71b. To start at 12.15 p.m. 3. Maiden Plate,— Of 20 sovs., second horse to receive 3 sovs from the stakes ; I-)- miles. Entrance 20s on day of general acceptance. To start at 1.10 p.m. 4. Selling Race.— Of 15 sovs. The wanner to be sold for 15 sovs., half the surplus to go to Club funds, balance to second horse. Top weight 9st, 71b allowed for every £5 off selling price; 1 mile. Entrance 15s on day of general acceptance. To start at 2 p;m. 5. Woodville District Jockey Club Handicap.— Of 50 sovs ; second horse 10 sovs from the stakes : 1£ miles. Nomination 20s, acceptance 80s. The winner of any race (after the declaration of weights) of the advertised value of £4O or over to carry a penalty of lOlbs and of the advertised value of any sum under 40 sovs to carry 71bs penalty. To start at 2.40 p.m. 6. Members Race,— Of 15 sovs; 2 miles; welter handicap, minimum weight 9st. For district horses only that are not entered for any other race on the programme, and that have never rvon a stake exceeding the nett value of £ls up to time of start; to be owned and ridden by bona fide members of the Club. Nomination 7s Cd, acceptance 7s Gd. To start at 3.20 p.m. 7. Flying Handicap. —Of 25 sovs; second horse 5 sovs from the stakes : 6 furlongs. Penalties same as in Club Handicap, not cumulative. Nomination 12s Gd, acceptance 12s Gd. To start at 4 p.m. 8. High Weight Handicap.— Of 15 sovs; 1J miles; minimum weight 9st. Nomination 7s Gd, acceptance 7s Gd. To start at 4.40 p.m. Nominations close with the Secretary at 9 p.m. on Saturday, the sth December 1891. Weights declared Tuesday, 16th December 1891. Acceptances, and entries for Maiden Plate and Selling Race close with the Secretary at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, the 22nd December 1891. CONDITIONS. 1. No deduction will be made from the advertised stakes. 2. All the races on this programme are open to “hacks” only. 3. “Hacks’ shall mean horses that have never won an advertised stake exceeding the value of 40 sovs at time of start (hack races excepted) and that are not nominated for a Derby, Guineas, St Leger or Sapling Stakes at time of start. 4. “District Horses” must be in the district on or before the Ist October 1891, and must not be out ol the district for more than one consecutive week from that date to Ist January 1892. 5. No entry will be received for any race except on condition that all claims, disputes and objections arising out of the racing shall be settled by the Stewards or whom they may appoint, and their decision shall be final. 6. No nominations will be received unless accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. 7. In all nominations, description, age, pedigree, and performances must be given, 8. All horses to be ridden in distinguishing colours, which must be given at time of entry. 9. Metropolitan Racing Rules will be strictly adhered to. Admission to course :- -Foot passengers Is, horses 2s, vehicles of any description 2s Gd. No horsemen allowed on the course. All members of the Club and their families (the members of the latter not being over 17 years of age) admitted free to all parts of the course and stands, with their horses and carriages.
