MAHARAHARA ROAD BOARD
{From our own correspondent.) The ordinary monthly meeting of the above Board was hold on Saturday, 11th September. Present Messrs M lls ™ (chairman), Wall, Brice, Barnett and Graham. CORRESPONDENCE. From the Bank agent, Woodville, requesting information as to the Board s revenue ; from County Council asking the Board to make application for balance ot the 75 per cent, subsidy, and also tor subsidy for present year. _ A petition was received from severa 1 settlers in Block 11., praying the Board to perform the following works on the Maunga-atua Hoad; —10l chains lonnaion on Price’s Road, one culvert and one *hain formation. —Ordered to stand over c ill next month. t FINANCES. Mr Price proposed, That the clerk prepare a financial statement for next month , showing the Board’s financial position. Mr Graham proposed, That the clerk write the County Council, asking the amount of subsidy likely to be grante d by the Council, also that he, (the clerk) write to Mr Smith, M.H.R., re the manner in which the Board is treated by Governmerit by non-payment of the clefeired payment, due three months ago. Mr Hall proposed, and Mr Barnett seconded, That the clerk write the Danevirke Board, requesting the chairman to forward the Heretaunga rates, collected by the Board.
