Classification of Crime.
An exchange thus' classifies crimes of peculation. Taking £1,000,000 is called a case of genius. Taking £IOO,OOO is called a case of short* age. Taking £.10,000 is called a case of litlga* tion.
Taking £25,000 is called a cose of insolvency.
Taking £IO,OOO is called a case of irregularity. Taking £3,000 Is called a case of defalcation.
Taking £I,OOO is called a case of comiption.
Taking £SOO is called a case of embezzlement. Taking £IOO is called a case of dishonesty. Taking £SO is called a case of thievery. Taking £25 is called a case of total depravity. Taking one ham is called a case of war on society.
