Passengers can be hooked at stations only on condition that there is room in the Train. Children under three years of age travel free ; above three and under twelve years of age half-fare.

The Kail way Department does not undertake to forward Horses and Carnages by any particular train ; but when sent they must be the forwarding station half-an-hour before the departure of the train. The owners of homes must provide means of securing them in the horse box, and the Kail way Department will not be accountable for any injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it uudertake to carry unbroken or vicious horses When Horse-boxes or trucks for carriages arc or dered a deposit of 5s must be paid, to be for frrfeited if tbe vehicle is not used. At coun* try stations requisitions for horse-boxes or carriage trucks must be made the day before they are wanted. Dogs must be provided with chains or other means of securing them. They wili not be allowed in carriages and the sender must obtain a ticket, to ba given up before tbe end of the journey, before tbe dog is delivered. Keturn or Periodical tickets will not be available for special and excursion trains, except when the ordinary time-table is suspended. Return tickets for distances not exceeding twenty-five miles are available ou the clay of issue only, for each additional twenty-five miles or fraction thereof, one day extra is a[lowed. Ordinary single ticket issued on Saturdays and Sundays are available as return tickets until the end of the following Monday J. P. maxwkli', General Manager.
