Scoured combing and washed fleece wools ate now a Jd to add higher fhao at the close of last autmdn. 'Washed and scoured crossbreds and ‘.good-greasy merinos show an advance •of id. For new clip wool there is a strong competition; prices are a £d to Id higher, with a hardening tendency. The Rev. At their wool sale to-day, the New 'Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency 'Company (Limited), offered 3000 bales, •the bulk of Which were sold at .satisfactory prices. A parcel of superior greasy'wool brought 15 There was •a large attendance of bnyers and brisk •competition. Good qualities are firm •at ‘about the same prices as last sales, but inferior and faulty wools are rather dower. The catalogue •today was •fairly representative. SydnjJv, November 56. Service, '•Stuart, Bray, Atkinson and ’Griffiths *to ‘consider the various 'resolutions which have been submitted, and frame final resolutions for adoption by

It has'transpired that at this morn-' ing’s silting of the Conference, Mr detailed at length the terms of 'the understanding which exists between England and France, tegarding the New Hebrides, end Mr Stuart further notified that Mr Halley, Attorney •General of New South Wales, was preparing a scheme for the reduction of 'charges 'on telegrams between Aus:and Europe which would be submitted to the Conference.
Mr Service presented a memorial on •the -subject of federation which had been drawn ■up by -European residents in Fiji. Mr Dibbs, Colonial Treasurer of New South Wales,has given notice of motion in favor of the adoption of federal quarantine n't Albany (West Australia) Thursday Island (Queensland) and Auckland (New Zealand). A meeting of the sub-committee of the Premiers was held this ‘afternoon. It is understood that an agreement has •been arrived at on the subject of an nexation which is considered satisfactory hy Mr Service, the mover of the first series of resolutions.
