PAHIATUA LOCAL BOARD.

Sir, —Since you a-e watching our interests as well as those of WVodvil'e, I should be glad to ask a question with regard to 0"f Road Boarl, in tlu* hope that t onipone may enlighten a lot of ns in. Pahiatna. When is this much talked about body going to come into existence? It is nearly twelve months since we first met, and requested Mr McCardle (our representative in Council) to procure a Local Board for ua, and we have not got it yet. They say there is some money ready for un, so we are naturally anxious to have the matter settl d, as the season for falling bush will soon be gone. When, task, are we going to hare the Road Board. —I am, <fec., Settler.
A COMPLAINT.
(TO THE EDITOR OF TUB EXAMINER-) Sir, —1 was at the Kechabite Anniversary tea the other day, and although my ticket cost 2 , just as much as any other, 1 had to wuii ui.til the first table of u swells ” had fini bed, and then take what I could get, and make the beet of it. Now, the long and short of it is, I shall never go again, and if there are ten more like me, the blue Eibboners will loose £1 next tea and I shall go to Mac’s and have four long beeig. 1 believe in fair play.—l am, &c., Live and Learn.
