THE MAIL SERVICE.
Mr W. C. Fmith, M.HMI. has kindly forwarded us the following letter, receired by him from the Minister of Justice;—“l have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 24th instant, and, in reply, to inform you that the flans of the new Court Houses in Ormondvilla and Woodville have been prepared, and that tenders will be called for immediately.” Judging from the number of cases that came before the B.M. yesterday, we shall soon bo in want of a court house, and are glad to see that our representative has been successful in procuring us the promise of one at so early a date. Me Fmith has not yet received a reply from the Postmaster General re the WoolvillcPalmerston mail (servici, but we are confident that he bas pushed this matter forward, and wo must now wait the results of his action.
