Fearful Murder.

The follhwing further particulars regarding the murder near Hay are from the Sydney Morning Herald : Information of an atrocious cnnrder has been received at Deneliqniu. The scene of the tragedy is ten miles distant, on the- road to Hay, near a place called p retty Fine. 'lhe victim was a hawker named Myzan, who was retaming from Wi'cannia to Kerang, in Victoria, where his wife a hotel. The body was found covered with sheepskins, alongside of a waggin. Indications in the vicinity of the waggon point to the fact t at Myzm was sitting in the vehicle when the fattl blow was struck, and that the body was dragged to the opposite side of the waggon from the road, and then covered with sheepskins and bags. The head was horribly crushed with a heavy club, supposed to be portion of the root of an adjacent tree, and then farther mutilated with a tomahawk, which has also been found. The police have ascertained that Myzan was in possession of a sum of money in cheques, notes, Sec., some time previous to the discovery of the body, but no money wis found on him. A clue has been discovered, and the police are now actively investignting the affair. A man named .To ? eph Gordon was arrestel at Mathoura on suspicion or murdering the hawker. The man answe ed to the description of suspecte.t murderer. Ho was interviewed, sni asked to whom he gave some of the missing cheques. The people by whom the murderer was seen in company with the murdered man have yet to see him, with the view of recognition ; they will see him in the cell b fore being brought before the Court in the morning.
