In onseqier.ci of information received the po’ici proceede 1 to the shop ii queslion, and upon ex'.mining the premises discovered in a si o'l tic dead bodies of nine childr n, some of the remains bi ing in an advanced state of decomposition, Upon further s *areh mi ther shell containing tbr e other dead bodies was discovered in even a worse condi i n. The police hud the remains j removed to the St. George’s mortuary, sui a nt of the tacts has been placed bef re tlie coroner by whom a full investigation will be he’d. In the majority of cases it is believe! that the bodies wr-e of e i Iborn children, and had been on the premises for several months. In the evening » large number of people congregated in front cf tin premises in Long Lane, and were only prev.n'ed from doing damage by the police who wore present Certificates authorising tie burial of the bidies were given to Camden at th i time when the bodies wore handed over to him lor i t rn e it.
