Mails close at the Ohief Post Ollice, Wellington, as follows : — ship's mails. For Picton, Nelson, New Plymouth, and Manukau, per s.s. Phoebe, on Wednesday, at lp.m. For Napier, Tauranga, and Auckland, per s.s. Mongol, on Wednesday, at 2 p.m. For Wanganui, per p.s. Manawatu, on Thurs* day, at 4 p.m. For Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, Bluff, and Australia, per s.s Claud Hamilton, on Wednesday, at 10 o.ra. The English mail, via San Francisco, will close on Thursday, the 12th day of March.
