COMMERCIAL.

THE TLOTJB MATtXET. Mr James O'Shea writes to us as follows : — Sib, — I must agree with Messrs J. and T. KebbeU's remarks with referenco to your commercial report on flour, &c, in your paper of the 20th inst, as well as some previous reports of yours. The public has already been misled, and shippers from the South have exSressed discontent at not having realised prices equal to your quotations. In Belfinterest I must own to you I was obliged to write to say your reports wore not to bo reliod on, supported as I now am by the testimony of Messrs KebbeU's letter of this day. Elour— in April and May — has been selling at £13, £13 10s, and £14, and only in small retail parcels has any higher rate than £14 10s been realised, and this only so far as I am concerned for fche Oamaru Phcenix brand — an article only inferior in name to Adelaide flour of the best brands. Since fcho Ist inst I have sold tho beßt Canterbury flour— Ruddenklau, £14, to £14, 105, sacks ; Wilson, £14, sacks ; othor brands, nofc so woll known, bufc equally good, at lower quotations. By inserting the foregoing you will much oblige — Yours, &c, James O'Shea. 21st June. [We can only Bay that the quotations objected to were obtained from a reliable source. — En.]
