GREVILLE'S TELEGRAMS.

Sib, — We have read the articlo in your issue of to-day in which you chargo Greville's Telegram Company with importing political bias into a telegram sent from Wellington to the " Otago Daily Times." We admit that under the ciraimstanees you were quite justified in supposing that tho telegram wns*Bent by up, but a few worus will, wo hopa, disabuse your mind of an erroneous «pin,ion. The fact is the " Otago Daily Times." for reasons best known to itself, insists on retaining special telegraphic correspondents in Auckland and Wellington, though tho "Times" receives" tho telegraphic news of all other places through our agency. Tho telegram you republish and comment upon must therefore have been sent to the " Otago Daily Times" by their special Wellington agent, and not by the Company. We may arid that it is still, as it has been from tho establishment of tho New Zealand branch of our firm, our earnest desire and endeavour to exclude political bias from our telegrams, and all our agents throughout New Zealand have careful and imperative instructions to that offect. We are sure also that the general chargo you make against the Company of constantly forwarding communications tinged with political bias will be found to bo bused on a similarly erroneous impression. — We are, &c, Greville's Telegram Co., (Per Chas.
