THE Government huving been empowered by special Acts of the Legislature to enter into contracts for Insurances on Lives, and for tho grants of Annuities and Endowments, are now prepared to execute any of the usual contracts dependent upon the contingencies of ouman lifo. The following advantages aro presented as deserving of Public attention, and especially of the working classes : — 1. All transactions and Powers of Attorney, and other documents, are frco of stamp duty and all taxation. 2. No charge is made beyond tho purchase money or premium. 3. Surrender values are granted on the wholo or any part of a contract which has endured for three years. 4. Tho tables of premiums in all the branches avo considerably less than in any other office in New Zealand. 5. Residenco is permitted in any part of the Globe distant except within 31 ° S., or 33 °N. of the Equator, or in any part of tho Australian Colonies south of the 25th parallel of south latitude, and premiums may always bo paid on tho due dates at the nearest Money Order Office. 6. Insurances effected for tho benefit of, and settled on wife or children are free, to the extent of £2000, from tho claims of creditors. 7. The Consolidated Revenue of tho Colony is liable for all claims, in the event of the receipts at any time being insufficient to meet demands, thus affording the best security lo tho assured.
