[PEE GREVTLLE'S TEL. CO., KEUTER'S AGENTS.] Dunedin, Thursday. A man, name unknown, has been killed at Kakanui by the upsetting of a dray while returning from the Timaru Agricultural Show. John Burns, a miner, has been killed at Big Hill by the capsizing of a dray. A Rifle Match takes place on Monday and Tuesday at Forbury Park. Port Ciialmkrs, Thursday. Sailed — 2 p.m., Taranaki, for the North. En catting the Taranaki's anchor, the davit was carried away, and a seaman named George Stewart fell overboard. He was rescued, after he had twice sunk, by the shipping reporter of the " Otago Daily Times" and a waterman, and, the steamer stopping, ho was placed on board. Arrived — Venus, brig, from Mauritius, with sugars for here and Lyttelton. Foxton, Thursday. The ketch Mosquito was totally wrecked on Friday, the 10th instant, on the North end of the Island of Kapiti. The crew were all saved. The ketch Huon Belle called and took Mr Henry Pierce, master, and the crew, to Rangitikei.
