Resolutions were unanimously passed condemnatory of the committee, and demanding their resignations en masse. A vote of thanks was passed to the " West Coast Times" for for ventilating the question. Preshaw, the dispenser, has been arrerted for alleged defalcations in his accounts, and is remanded. Auckland, November 12. 900 volunteers were present at the sham fight on the Prince of Wales Birthday, including cadets. The Jews have resolved to erect a synagogue on a large scale. .£SOO towards the expense was subscribed at the meeting. The Caledonian mine continues to improve. Four cwt of specimens were taken out yesterday. Port Chalmers, Wednesday. The ship May Queen has arrived from London 81 days out. The passengers are all well. The ship E. P. Bouverie, 92 days out from Glasgow, is at the Heads, and a brig,, supposed to be the Sarah, from Boston. Sailed— The Southern Cross, barque, for Lytteltou.
